Greetings from NFL Headquarters!!!
I am soooooo excited to report from Superbowl Headquarters!!! I have so much to tell everyone what's going on. Soon, I will have pictures up!!! On Tuesday, Tom Brady was in the lobby! I also saw Troy Aikman, Mike Ditka, Terrell Owens and more! Yesterday, the author Mitch Albom (Tuesdays with Morrie, Just One More Day, The Five People You Meet in Heaven)checked in to the hotel. I was hoping to get to welcome him in but he checked in after I left! It gets better- I also checked in John Elway. I also checked in Andy Rooney and it was taped- I expect it to be televised within the next 3 weeks so make sure to TIVO 30 minutes! The hotel is decked out with Superbowl decor and it's amazing- stay tuned for pictures!

The Akins are slowly but surely preparing for their move to Kauai.
Marissa, Jace and I will be leaving on February 10th with Norm soon to follow, we hope.
Norm has been busy readying the house for selling and we hope to have it on the market in the next week. He does take time out occasionally to continue his dirtbiking. :)
Alex has applied to several physical therapy schools and is awaiting appointments for the interview process. In the meantime, he is working at a physical therapy clinic here in Scottsdale.
Marissa and Jace are doing great. Jace is growing and growing. He is starting to smile and laugh.
Love you all,
Norm, Florence, Alex, Marissa & Jace

Trip to Flagstaff Dec 20th
The Snowy San Francisco Peaks! On the day we left- the high was 29 degrees!
These are the Sled Dogs! They are owned by the previous owner of the Inn. I LOVED THEM!
I LOVED this tree at the Inn
James and I made the trek up to Flagstaff on 12/20 for a 1 night stay at the Sled Dog Inn~ We are quite the B&B connoisseurs! We had a great time! We played in the snow, at lunch at the Beaver Street Brewery, ate dinner at Black Bart's, saw the Pioneer museum, the museum of Northern AZ, toured the Riordan mansion AND at lunch at Oregano's! We did all off that in about 28 hours time, not including sleeping, walking around downtown Flag and enjoying a gourmet breakfast at the Inn. By the way, we HIGHLY recommend this place- we will definitely be back- check it out online: www.sleddoginn.com
They had a Macaw named Oliver that was hilarious! He talked and cooed and made some pretty funny sounds. He was in love with me- claims the owner of the Inn. Oliver would talk to me when I was right next to his cage- which he never does unless he really likes you. We also bought a 1/2 cord of wood and schlepped it back home from Flagstaff- that's what you gotta do to save $$. Even though we were there for 1 day- we did as much as we could!

Our Lazy Dog Husker
We love our dog even though her breath could kill a small child, she has flatulence that can bring on a strong case of nausea and she will turn anything on the ground into her own personal comfort tool- she got 2 dog beds for Christmas- 1 for upstairs and 1 for downstairs (the red milk bone bed is for down stairs and she has a leopard print one for upstair). Seen here on our black bean bag she has hijacked it even though her dog bed is just feet away. Anything for our old girl~ She still has a few fun, fiesty moments left in her- do you see the round, green thing on the floor next to her? That's a foot massager that she growls at, chases and fights with because in some doggy way- it's alive and a toy for her- we really get a kick out of it- next time she does it, I will record it and post it for your viewing enjoyment!
