Bontaj Roulet

Bonnie Raitt and Taj Mahal played at the Dodge Theatre last night. James, Matt, Georgiana and I caught the concert after a LONG day of work. I was amazed. It was a great show. Bonnie has an incredible voice and Taj Mahal can really jam. We all enjoyed the concert.

In the Navy.....

Sam is on his way to Great Lakes, IL for Naval BOOT CAMP. I spent most of the day fighting back tears just thinking about it. I never really thought I would get this emotional but I am just really gonna miss Sam. James and I joked about how much money we would save on groceries and how much cleaner our house would stay but the bottom line is that it's the start of Sam's life as an adult and it's always hard to turn the page. We are sooo proud of our boy. We can't wait to see him in Chicago for his boot camp graduation. Once we get his address we will pass it to you so the cards and letters can flow his way. Keep him close in your prayers.

Family gathering

On Saturday we had the family over for one last hurrah before Sam leaves for boot camp on Wednesday. Norm is in town from Hawaii and it was so nice to see him. We had Michelle and family, April and Richard, Aranna and Uncle Corky and Adam, Shannon and Hayden. I have to admit, I was NOT on top of my picture taking game as I hadn't had a lot of sleep the night before. The previous couple of days we were working on our bathroom. Whew. Glad the bathroom is nice and new and will post some pics soon. We are gonna miss Sam and can't wait to see his transformation!

Mel and Jimmy go golfing

It rained on Saturday and cooled things off a bit. It was pretty humid but we decided to try an afternoon game of golf at our local 9 hole course. It was the first time Mel had golfed outside of Sun City since summer of 2006.

We had tons of fun. Did pretty well except I hit it in the water 2 times in a row.

Michelle and the babies come swimming

Michelle, Ocean, Callin and even baby Ava went swimming last weekend. Notice how calling is decked out in his floaties. He loves to ride on Uncle Jimmy's back.

Aranna visits family in OK

Aranna visited Oklahoma last month and saw all of the family. She took some great shots!

Vacation wrap up

Sebastian LOVES Uncle Jimmy!

Smores were so good

Nice Pierre!

Walkin on the beach!

Of course, I had to get to the very end of 240+ pictures and make sure that you got the full effect of our awesome vacation. It's only taken me a month to do it all! We had smores by the campfire on Saturday night after our scrumptious camp site burgers and hot dogs! Before packing up our camp site, we decided to walk around the campground. It's a pretty big place and we saw some very cool camp sites that were closer to the beach.

More Vacation Pics

Dyogi was such a trooper on the boat!

Nice Hair!
Tamara and her boys trying to chill while Pierre was jumping waves!

2 lounging seals!

Ventura County Fair from the water

Nice Pic!

Sebastian was such a good boy!

We woke up on Saturday morning and made breakfast- bacon and pancakes. Sebastian was both entertained and nourished by his Trix cereal. We decided to get our bathing suits on and find our sea legs and we launched the boat from Channel Islands Harbor. We saw tons of sea lions, HUGE dolphins, etc. We sailed and saw the Ventura County fair from the water. We then went to the Oxnard harbor, docked and had a pic nic in a little park with a little playground. That's right about when the camera started saying low battery......
