Happy Birthday Mollie!

Mollie turns 17 on Tuesday! She came over for dinner tonight and opened her presents. She has been working at Starbucks for the last few weeks. In August she will start her senior year of High School!

Here's also a picture of Phoenix and Rosie. They were power lounging today. I was off so they got to beat the heat inside. Recently, they started running through the sprinklers during the day and they also get in the pool to stay cool.

Happy Birthday Aranna and Happy Father's Day, Dads!

On Sunday, the family congregated at our house to celebrate Aranna's Birthday and also for father's day. We had a nice Costco lunch and went swimming. Yummy sun tea and sparkling raspberry lemonade were also on tap! Here's some pics and video of the festivities.

San Diego!!!

We decided to go to San Diego for a little much- needed getaway. We haven't gone out of town since last year and needed a little getaway. We LOVE San Diego and enjoyed our favorite spots and found some new ones. We stayed at the Manchester Grand Hyatt , went to the gaslamp, the swap meet, the beach, La Jolla, and Little Italy. We love to go to the Hash House for Breakfast but had eaten so much on Saturday, couldn't bare to go there today. Thier portions are huge and we figured we wouldn't get our $$ worth. On Saturday we found a hidden treasure nestled in between homes where you would walk out on a rocky ledge, see surfers and James could hunt for crabs. He caught 4 little guys just for the fun of it and put them back where he got them when I was done photographing the catch. Now it's back to work tomorrow for Mel!!! James gets another day to play at home!

Happy Birthday Norm!!!

Happy Birthday Norm! We celebrated with dinner at the Wailua River Marina Restaurant. After dinner, Sam entertained us with his new skills as a fire spinner.

NaPali Coast

Norm, Sam and Phil did an 8 mile hike up the NaPali Coast today. It is probably one of the most beautiful spots on this island. There are waterfalls, beaches and miles of scenic coastline to be seen.

Sightseeing

Sam has been sightseeing. We took him to Waimea Canyon, Spouting Horn, Wailua Falls, the Coffee Plantation, etc.

Sam has also been snorkeling and Phil taught him to spearfish too!

Sam Has Arrived on Kauai

Sam arrived safe and sound on Kauai. We are so happy to have him here. Jace is already his best friend. So far, Sam has tried Goat Fish which Phil speared earlier today. We are going to BBQ tonight because we know Sam needs to catch up on the time change.

Pool Time

It's hot and the pool is cool! It's perfect weather for a pool day. Michelle and the babies came over today and went swimming! Ocean is swimming like a fish! Callin had fun swimming with Uncle Jimmy- click play on the video. Rosie is the dog you may see in the video spastically running around the pool. Everytime we are in the pool she thinks it's game time- Jimmy splashes her and she now gets in the pool anytime she wants......

We also put more finishing touches on our office today. We put in some shelving and bought a sweet wall clock and mounted it prominently on the wall.
